Google is hiring a Systems Development Engineer to deploy and operate Google Distributed Cloud Hosted (GDCH) solutions at customer sites and internal reference deployments. The role involves complex infrastructure troubleshooting across networks, storage, servers, operating systems, and Kubernetes; participating in international deployments; owning the infrastructure operator experience; and supporting 24x7 on-call escalations. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and five years of Linux and networking troubleshooting experience. Compensation is €120,000–€123,000 plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits in Germany, or $163,000–$236,000 plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits in the United States.
