AWS Edge Connectivity Services is hiring a Systems Development Engineer II to design and implement systems automation, infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, operational tooling, monitoring, and site reliability engineering practices for mission-critical network services supporting US government customers. The role involves cross-functional systems integration, service observability, operational standards, mentoring, and on-call incident support. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, three years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering, two years of systems design or architecture experience, and programming experience with a modern language. The position requires US citizenship, a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and sponsorship for a commensurate clearance for each government agency. The role is based in Arlington or Herndon, Virginia, with an annual base salary of $129,200 to $174,800.
