Description
The Systems Design Engineer will work on-site in the first shift, troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues in a data center or laboratory environment. The role involves processing JIRA tickets, root-cause analysis, monitoring power, network, and liquid-cooling issues, installing and replacing hardware, debugging firmware and operating systems related to CPUs and GPUs, and coordinating with vendors, OEMs, and partners. The position requires data-center systems experience, JIRA and scripting knowledge, Linux skills, and familiarity with BMC, BIOS, and GPU debugging; travel between AMD labs or facilities and potential international travel and overtime may be required.
