Description
Swarm Aero is hiring a Software Systems Engineer to support the software of large, autonomous swarming unmanned aircraft. The role leads software standards and development approaches, maintains system architecture, derives requirements from aircraft subsystems, defines interoperability interfaces, manages verification artifacts, participates in design reviews, supports hardware- and software-in-the-loop testing, coordinates verification plans with ground and flight test teams, and mitigates technical risk. The position requires 7+ years of systems engineering experience on aerospace, defense, or UAS platforms with a software focus, expertise in civil and military aircraft software development and verification, familiarity with standards such as DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754, ARP4761, and MIL-STD-882, and the ability to obtain U.S. Government clearance.
