AWS is hiring a Systems Engineer to design, develop, and operate cloud infrastructure and tools for US government customers, including AWS GovCloud regions. The role focuses on improving customer tools, processes, and documentation; automating toil; investigating customer issues; and learning site reliability engineering fundamentals. Candidates need programming experience, automation experience, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, with Python and distributed-systems knowledge preferred. The position is based in Herndon, Virginia, with a base salary of $99,000 to $160,000 annually.
