Amazon is hiring a Systems Engineer to own the full engineering lifecycle of Route 53's DNS infrastructure for a sovereign cloud programme. The role involves designing latency-based routing, Private DNS, Geo DNS, and failover architectures; writing production code and automation; integrating Route 53 with the broader AWS ecosystem; participating in architectural reviews; and maintaining operational excellence through monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and mentoring. The position is based in Melbourne or Sydney, with interstate relocation support, and requires Australian citizenship, eligibility for an Australian Government Security Clearance, and successful completion of an Organisational Suitability Assessment.
