Description

Lockheed Martin is hiring a full-time Level 2 Systems Engineer to support one assigned Capability Integration Strategy function as an individual technical contributor. The role maintains technical baselines, maps dependencies, supports integration and release-readiness planning, validates portfolio data, and prepares analysis for technical and program reviews. The engineer will focus on one of four technical tracks: Capability Architecture & Integration Planning, Technical Integrity & Release Readiness, Data Engineering & Architecture, or Data Analysis & Decision Metrics. A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, demonstrated depth in the selected track, cross-team coordination experience, and an active Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibility are required; aerospace, defense, agile, and regulated-development experience are desired. The salary range is $70,500 to $130,900, with medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, physics, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Required Previous Experiences: Demonstrated technical depth in at least one technical track, supported by evidence of accurate, completed work within a defined scope
Experience coordinating across team or organizational boundaries to complete assigned work and resolve routine dependencies
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated, safety-critical development environment
Exposure to agile or hybrid development environments that combine rapid software release cadences with hardware milestones
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technically credible analysis and status to engineering audiences
Working proficiency with tools relevant to the selected technical track and assigned CIS responsibilities
Exposure to digital engineering, configuration-controlled data, or traceable evidence used to support technical reviews and decisions
Experience supporting customer, test, release, or mission-readiness activities in which technical accuracy and timely escalation affect delivery outcomes
