Description
The Systems Engineer – Avionics role supports a Dallas-area company transitioning from small to mid-sized, with 100% in-house engineering and manufacturing. Responsibilities include translating customer requirements into technical solutions, developing specifications and qualification documentation, setting up and testing proof-of-concept systems, creating configuration files, supporting installations and demonstrations, developing automated tests with Python, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing diagnostics and remote support, and maintaining customer relationships. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least four years of systems engineering experience, hardware and software product experience, customer-facing technical support or systems integration experience, and experience in aerospace or another regulated environment. Preferred experience includes avionics, aircraft wiring diagrams, system architecture, qualification documentation, automated testing, Python, XML, databases, networking, and error-log analysis. The schedule offers flexible start and end times with core hours of 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, including 5-day, 4-day, or hybrid work arrangements, and requires travel of up to 25% domestically and internationally.
