Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Optical Systems Engineer in Santa Clara, California, to support the product development of a high-performance optical lithography system for advanced packaging. The role spans requirements analysis, system architecture, subsystem design, prototyping, testing, validation, manufacturing support, field troubleshooting, diagnostics, calibration, and optical metrology. Candidates need an MS or PhD in a relevant field, 0–7 years of experience, hands-on opto-mechanical systems experience, strong troubleshooting and data-analysis skills, and programming or scripting experience; image processing, software automation, AI tools, optical modeling, and optical metrology experience are preferred.
