CTEC is hiring an intermediate Systems Engineer to support the Defense Finance and Accounting Service’s IBM mainframe-based civilian payroll system. The role covers systems analysis, design, integration, testing, verification, validation, documentation, configuration management, troubleshooting, and production monitoring using mainframe tools. Candidates need 2–3 years of hands-on experience with requirements analysis, software design, IDMS databases, and COBOL programming, along with an active Secret clearance. Preferred qualifications include JCL, Oracle, COGNOS, JavaScript, Endevor, testing and configuration strategies, REXX, z/OS, PVCS, Enterprise Architect, assembler, and government accounting systems.
