Description

Voyager Technologies is seeking a senior Systems Engineer - Project Engineer V to serve as a chief project engineer and enterprise-level technical authority for complex defense and aerospace programs. The role leads system architecture, integration, verification, engineering execution, technical baselines, design reviews, subcontractor deliverables, risk management, customer interfaces, proposals, and engineering process improvements. It requires an active or obtainable DoD Secret Clearance, extensive DoD and systems engineering experience, leadership of large multidisciplinary programs, and familiarity with EVMS, DoD acquisition frameworks, MIL-STD processes, and engineering project-planning tools. The position may be based in California or Nevada and offers a listed regional salary range, with approximately 10% travel and comprehensive health benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 10 years of project engineering experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree with 8 years of experience, 14 years of project engineering experience in lieu of a degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 10 years of progressively responsible project engineering, systems engineering, or program-level technical leadership experience.
Experience managing large-scale Department of Defense or Missile Defense Agency programs, including complex integration and verification.
Experience as a Control Account Manager and technical lead under EVMS-compliant contracts.
Experience overseeing major subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications: Background in propulsion systems, flight vehicle integration, or complex electromechanical systems.
Experience leading customer engagements, proposal efforts, and engineering process improvement initiatives.
Active or obtainable and maintainable DoD Secret Clearance.
Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
