Description

Voyager Technologies is hiring a senior Systems Engineer - Project Engineer V to serve as a chief project engineer and enterprise-level technical authority for complex defense and aerospace programs. The role leads system architecture, integration, verification, technical baselines, configuration management, risk management, design reviews, subcontractor oversight, customer and executive interfaces, proposal support, and engineering process improvement. It requires an active or obtainable DoD Secret Clearance, extensive DoD acquisition and systems engineering experience, leadership of large multidisciplinary programs, and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with compensation ranges posted for California and Nevada.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 10 years of project engineering experience; alternatively, a related master’s degree with 8 years, 14 years of project engineering experience in lieu of a degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 10 years of progressively responsible project engineering, systems engineering, or program-level technical leadership experience
Experience managing large-scale DoD or MDA programs and complex system integration and verification
Experience as a Control Account Manager and technical lead under EVMS-compliant contracts
Experience with the DoD acquisition lifecycle and MIL-STD systems engineering processes
Experience overseeing major subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications: Background in propulsion systems, flight vehicle integration, or complex electromechanical systems
Experience leading customer engagements, proposal efforts, and engineering process improvement initiatives
Active or obtainable DoD Secret Clearance
Willingness to travel approximately 10%
