Description
The New York Botanical Garden is hiring a Systems Librarian for the LuEsther T. Mertz Library in Bronx, New York. The role administers and strategically develops library systems infrastructure, applications, hardware, web services, electronic resource platforms, discovery tools, and collections management systems. Responsibilities include system integration and support, usage analytics, documentation, website maintenance, staff training, technology projects and migrations, evaluation of AI-enabled tools, limited public service coverage, and coordination of interns. The position requires an ALA-accredited MLIS, experience with library systems and web technologies, knowledge of data modeling, SQL, APIs, metadata standards, scripting, digital preservation, and strong project and communication skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a salary of $75,000 and medical and dental insurance benefits.
