Description
The Alameda County Water District is hiring a Systems Maintenance Supervisor in Fremont, California to oversee repair and preventive maintenance at potable water supply, production, treatment, and distribution facilities. The role leads a team of thirteen skilled-trade and planner/scheduler staff, manages emergency repairs, shutdowns, work scheduling, parts inventory, CMMS/EAM work orders, contractor administration, safety, training, performance evaluations, budgeting, and coordination with engineering and facility construction projects. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, trade or technical school training, and four years of journey-level mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control maintenance experience, including one year of lead experience or completion of the District’s Leadership Skills Training Program; supervisory experience is desired. The position requires a California driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and D2 or T2 certification within twelve months of appointment, and may require after-hours, weekend, and holiday work.
