Description
The DZA is hiring a PhD in NIR Detector Development for a fixed term of three years at 30 hours per week. The role develops and investigates near-infrared detector concepts using thin-film technologies, organic absorbers, and quantum dots; optimizes hybrid deposition processes for ROIC integration; characterizes detector performance; sets up and automates measurement systems; develops Python analysis routines; and publishes research results. Applicants need a completed university degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable field, knowledge of optoelectronics and thin-film technologies, characterization experience, Python and data-analysis skills, and strong English. The position is subject to the personal requirements of pay grade E 13 TVöD Bund and offers flexible working-time models and part-time employment.
