Description

The role combines geotechnical leadership, design and construction oversight, quality reviews, regulatory compliance, client relationship management, proposal development, and mentorship of junior engineers. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in geotechnical or civil engineering and at least 10 years of geotechnical experience focused on tailings dam design and management, along with demonstrated business development success. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience focused on tailings dam design and management
Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and proposal preparation
Preferred Qualifications: 15+ years of tailings-related geotechnical engineering experience
Master’s or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience with mine waste management, closure design, and water management for tailings facilities
Understanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks and industry guidelines
Experience serving as an Engineer of Record for tailings dam projects
Familiarity with advanced numerical modeling techniques and software
Strong project management, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team leadership experience
Proficiency in both English and French
