La Bahia Hotel & Spa, a luxury beachfront property in Santa Cruz, California, is hiring an experienced Taskforce Sous Chef to provide flexible culinary leadership and operational coverage across restaurant outlets, banquets, and catering during leadership transitions, peak periods, events, and staffing gaps. The role requires hands-on supervision of kitchen operations, food quality, safety and sanitation compliance, team coaching, inventory and cost control, and coordination with Front of House, Executive Chef, and HR. The position is full-time and contract, with pay described as $1,500 to $2,000 per week plus per diem and travel coverage.
