Description
The TB health educator serves as a contractor through CAI in the TB Prevention & Care program at the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH). This position aims to reduce tuberculosis-related morbidity and mortality among Indiana residents by educating and training internal staff, external partners, and the public. Key responsibilities include providing education and training consultations, leading health education activities, assisting regional nurse consultants, preparing dissemination materials, developing outreach resources, conducting presentations, engaging with the public during health fairs, liaising with various organizations like the Indiana American Lung Association and CDC, participating in grant writing, supporting professional development, serving as a focal point for CDC education/training, maintaining the IDOH TB program website, coordinating advisory committees, overseeing the Indiana TB elimination plan, and performing other assigned duties.
