Description
The Teacher provides high-quality instruction and support to students from preschool through the transition academy, depending on the department. The role plans and delivers lessons, models American Sign Language, adapts instruction to individual needs, collaborates with teachers and specialists, develops and implements IEPs, tracks student progress, and supports academic, social-emotional, and communication development. The position is full-time, FLSA-exempt, and a 10-month union position requiring a bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field, Pennsylvania Department of Education certification, and ASL proficiency at Level 3 or above.
