Description
The Teacher Assistant or Aide supports a certified teacher in an 853 school by assisting with classroom activities, monitoring transitions and student areas, supervising students during field trips and other school events, proctoring exams, and helping students with special needs. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalency, knowledge of classroom technology and special-needs support, current Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certification, and preferably high-school experience and classroom-management skills. It is a 12-month position paying $17–$18 per hour.
