Description
The Teacher Assistant provides instruction and instructional support to students, implements individualized educational and therapeutic programs, supports classroom activities and transitions, assists with student safety and behavioral needs, maintains classroom materials, communicates with parents and caregivers, and supports substitute teachers and other classroom staff. The role requires NYS Teacher Assistant certification or certification in progress with a passed NYSATAS, a high school diploma or GED, and English proficiency; one or more years of experience with youth in an educational or residential program is preferred. The salary range is $19.94-$24.44 per hour.
