Description
Easterseals New York is hiring a Teacher Assistant to support students with Autism and other developmental disabilities in building social-emotional, communication, and functional academic skills. The role works under a classroom teacher’s supervision, assists with educational programming, personal care, behavioral support, documentation, instructional materials, extracurricular and community activities, and maintaining a safe classroom environment. Candidates must hold current New York State Education Department certification as a Teacher Assistant or Teacher, have an associate degree or one year of experience working with children with disabilities, and possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Compensation is $20 per hour plus a $1,500 bonus.
