Description
The YMCA is hiring a part-time Teacher to provide after-school care for school-age students in the Hillsboro School District. The role supervises aides and volunteers, supports a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom, implements an engaging curriculum, and builds relationships with children, parents, and the school community. The position runs Monday through Friday from 1:45 to 6:00 p.m., with 1:15 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, and may involve travel to other YMCA childcare sites or company events. Required qualifications include a YMCA background check, qualifying school-age-child experience or an associate degree or Step 6 Oregon Registry, program-lead standards, childcare registry enrollment, CPR and First Aid certification, Food Handlers certification, and at least 18 years of age.
