Description
The YMCA is hiring a Teacher to support school-age students in before- and after-school programs in Portland. The role supervises aides and volunteers, helps maintain a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom, implements an engaging curriculum, and builds relationships with children, parents, and the school community. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with full-time hours of 6:15–9:00 a.m. and 2:00–6:00 p.m., or part-time hours of 2:00–6:00 p.m. The position requires a YMCA background check, qualifying experience or education, Oregon Registry or childcare registry enrollment, CPR and First Aid certification, Food Handlers certification, and at least 18 years of age.
