Description
The Teacher provides high-quality care and education for children from 12 weeks through school age in a developmentally appropriate early childhood laboratory school. The role supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through intentional teaching, positive guidance, classroom management, curriculum planning, observation, documentation, and assessment, while modeling practices for college students, practicum participants, and visitors. The position reports to the Facility Director of the Child Development Lab School and does not supervise others. Applicants must have an associate’s degree in an early childhood education-related field or an associate’s degree with at least 36 credits in such a field, one year of experience working with children ages birth to five, and must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within six weeks of employment.
