Description
The Shop Team Lead leads and supports employees in an aviation maintenance shop, assigns and monitors daily work, trains new employees, communicates production and employee issues to management, and ensures work meets quality and FAA requirements. The role also performs inspections, troubleshooting, paperwork, safety oversight, and basic administrative support. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of Team Lead, Lead Technician, or supervisory experience, and practical experience with maintenance procedures, inspection methods, materials, tools, and equipment. Aviation, mechanical, or technical training is preferred, and FAA Part 145 training or hands-on experience may substitute for formal technical education.
