OKAPI:Orbits is hiring a Java Technical Lead to lead and develop a team of five Java developers while contributing hands-on to scalable, reliable, and maintainable Java services and event-driven systems. The role combines technical responsibilities in architecture, code quality, testing, deployment, monitoring, and engineering processes with people leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development. The position requires extensive Java backend and event-driven systems experience, strong software engineering and communication skills, and B2-level German and English; it offers onboarding in Braunschweig followed by a hybrid arrangement in Munich.
