Description

CoStar Group is hiring a Technical Team Lead, Software Engineering - Full-Stack to lead and grow a team building and maintaining financial web applications for revenue operations. The role owns architecture, delivery, coordination, production reliability, and engineering practices while remaining hands-on across React, Node.js, C#/.NET, SQL Server, and related systems. It is based in Richmond, Virginia, with Monday through Thursday in-office and Friday work-from-home, and offers a base salary of $155,000 to $203,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college or university
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years building web applications and services and databases, including 3+ years building large distributed, API-driven systems
Experience owning delivery for a team, including planning, prioritization, and coordination with product management and business stakeholders
Hands-on production React application development with Node.js and C#/.NET
Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including stored procedure development and query performance tuning
Experience designing complete applications, including API contracts, versioning, backward compatibility, separation of concerns, and design patterns
Experience owning production systems, including on-call ownership, incident response, and operational improvement using version control and CI/CD in a major cloud environment
Experience with agentic engineering and AI-assisted development tools
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with micro-frontend architecture and independently deployable frontend applications
Experience with payments, billing, subscription management, or applications subject to audit and SOX controls
Experience integrating with third-party billing, payments, or collections platforms
Familiarity with event-driven integration, caching, search, and cloud services
Experience with observability and monitoring tooling
Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development practices
