Description
The Tech I Laboratory Processor receives, processes, transports, distributes, and stores patient specimens; prepares them for diagnostic and prognostic testing; enters and verifies laboratory and electronic health information; troubleshoots equipment and systems; and maintains patient identification and safety standards. The role may also prepare and ship specimens and mail-out kits, handle reagents and supplies, support inventory, provide training, and respond to laboratory testing inquiries. It requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant specimen-processing or clinical laboratory experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
