Obsidian Security is hiring a Tech Lead – Data Scientist to lead the development and scaling of its core ontology for unified security configuration analysis, AI security, and threat detection. The role will work with 3–6 software engineers and data scientists, automate repeatable research and development tasks, and translate complex security problems into data and machine learning problems. Candidates need at least six years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied research, preferably including two years in technical leadership, along with production systems experience, Python expertise, and strong security-domain knowledge. The position offers a base salary of $220,000–$250,000 USD, equity, 401(k), and comprehensive healthcare with dental and vision coverage for U.S.-based employees.
