Google is hiring a Tech Lead Manager to lead large-scale LLM and diffusion-model workloads on Google Cloud TPUs. The role focuses on model bringup, performance tuning, sharding and parallelism strategies, custom Pallas kernels, TorchTPU support, disaggregated serving, and RL inference, while managing up to six engineers and collaborating with research, performance, and optimization teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, extensive software development and ML infrastructure experience, and prior technical and people leadership experience.
