Astera Labs is hiring a Tech Lead – Optical Test Engineer to define and lead optical test architectures and flows for silicon photonics devices and optical modules. The role covers characterization and qualification of CPO components, high-speed optical measurements, test-station design, automation software development, yield analysis, statistical reporting, and collaboration with design, process, and supplier teams. Candidates need an M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, 5–7+ years of optical testing or photonic device experience, and expertise in silicon photonics, optical communication standards, and test automation. The salary range is $185,000 to $240,000, with possible discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.
