Nu is hiring a Software Engineer to build and maintain large-scale distributed backend systems using Clojure, microservices, Kafka, AWS, Datomic, DynamoDB, Prometheus, and Kubernetes. The role involves setting technical direction across multiple teams, mentoring engineers, driving resilient and scalable solutions, participating in on-call rotations, and collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders. Candidates need at least 10 years of experience developing digital products in complex environments, expertise in distributed systems and cloud technologies, and strong communication and English skills. The position offers a base salary of $168,000 to $210,000 plus RSUs and benefits.
