Description
Planet is hiring a full-time, in-office System Validation Tech Lead for its Space Operations team in San Francisco. The role owns the end-to-end buildout, maintenance, tooling, configuration, and uptime of multi-mission system validation testbeds, coordinates mission- and discipline-specific POCs, and ensures software and firmware updates are validated safely before deployment to satellites. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, 4–6 years of testbed or network engineering experience, and experience with scripting, Linux or UNIX, IP networks, and Docker. The US base salary range is $144,500–$180,600 USD, with possible bonus and equity incentives.
