Description
The Technical Buyer sources, negotiates, and procures technical materials, components, and services for production and operations. The role interprets engineering drawings and BOMs, evaluates and qualifies suppliers, manages purchase orders and inventory, resolves supply issues with engineering and production teams, and supports new product introductions. It requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of purchasing or procurement experience in a technical or manufacturing environment, technical component knowledge, technical-document interpretation skills, Excel and data-analysis proficiency, and ERP/MRP experience.
