Description

Assystem is hiring two Technical Directors to support its Defence business, each focusing on a separate area and reporting to the Defence Business Unit Engineering Director. The roles provide strategic technical leadership, oversee technical delivery and quality, manage key account plans, support bids and business development, lead engineering teams, and promote technical excellence. Candidates need an engineering degree, CEng or IEng qualification, significant Defence and Naval Nuclear experience, and at least 10 years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams through major infrastructure projects.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
Required Previous Experiences: Significant experience in the Defence industry, particularly in Naval Nuclear environments
At least 10 years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering major infrastructure projects
Extensive experience managing engineering scope across the full project lifecycle from concept design through detailed design, manufacture, and installation
Experience working within Quality Management Systems and Business Management Systems
Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) qualification, with willingness to progress to Fellow (FEng) status
Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, Machinery Directive, and Pressure Equipment Directive
Strong commercial awareness and experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
