Empolis is hiring a full-time Technical Editor to create, maintain, and improve technical product documentation for software products. The role involves structuring complex technical content, collaborating with development and product management, developing documentation standards, maintaining documentation systems, supporting interface translation quality assurance, and exploring AI tools. The position is based at Empolis’s site in Kaiserslautern with a fixed Tuesday on-site day and mobile working from home on other days. Candidates need a degree in technical editing, technical communication, or a comparable qualification, several years of technical editing experience, and expertise in structured documentation, Markdown, XML, Git, OpenAPI, Oxygen Author, and Visual Studio Code, along with strong German and English communication skills.
