Description
Peach Payments is hiring a Technical Engineering Manager to lead two engineering pods: the MX Pod, responsible for merchant onboarding and configuration, and the Internal Services Pod, supporting internal teams and operations. The role owns technical standards, OKRs, KPIs, architecture, technical debt, delivery, incident support, hiring, performance management, coaching, and team capacity. It requires senior software engineering and people-management experience, payments-domain knowledge, and familiarity with Python, TypeScript, Terraform, AWS, Kafka, EKS, and related technologies. The position is remote-first, with the company’s head office in Cape Town, South Africa, and offices in Johannesburg, Mauritius, and Nairobi.
