Simpson Gumpertz & Heger is seeking current students for a 2027 Summer internship in its Chicago, Illinois office. The internship provides hands-on experience in construction monitoring, field investigations, condition assessments, structural design and analysis, materials testing, site inspections, research, and preparation of engineering deliverables. Candidates should be interested in civil or structural engineering, materials science, architecture, or architectural engineering, maintain strong grades, and demonstrate strong communication skills. The internship offers hourly compensation based on degree level, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for Technical Interns, and benefits including medical insurance for full-time temporary employees.
