Description

Redwood is hiring a Principal Engineer, Products & Platforms to lead technical architecture and modernization across its Workload Automation Platform. The role owns Java/Spring Boot microservices, platform infrastructure, scalability, security, compliance, observability, and cross-team product delivery, while researching AI/ML applications for managed file transfer and workload automation. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 12+ years of software engineering experience, strong Java and distributed-systems expertise, cloud and Kubernetes experience, DevOps and protocol knowledge, and experience leading technical initiatives.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 12+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on high-scale products and platforms
Extensive experience architecting, deploying, and managing complex solutions on a major cloud platform
Experience building distributed SaaS systems, microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application to engineering problems
Experience with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automated platform management
Mastery of EKS and Kubernetes container orchestration
Understanding of enterprise file transfer and secure communication protocols
Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineering peers
Knowledge of agile development methodologies
Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with SAP
Preferred Qualifications: AWS cloud platform expertise
