Re-Leased is hiring a Technical Lead to provide day-to-day technical leadership for a software engineering squad building and operating cloud/SaaS property-management products. The role includes architectural design, implementation planning with AI, coding and code reviews, observability, production support, mentoring, and cross-team technical alignment. It can be based in Napier or remotely from another New Zealand city, with a Microsoft Azure stack and Azure DevOps/Terraform practices.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Relevant tertiary qualification at degree level or higher, or Microsoft Certification; equivalent strong experience may also qualify.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 7 years of software engineering experience
Experience leading a team's or squad's technical direction
Experience planning and implementing CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience leading team adoption of AI-assisted development
Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Azure experience
Terraform and Azure DevOps experience, or leadership in a comparable stack
Strong communication and facilitation with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Engineering mentorship and knowledge sharing
Security-first engineering mindset
