Ably is looking for a Technical Lead for Developer Experience to co-own the DevEx vision and strategy, transforming their dashboard, documentation platform, and control plane into a world-class experience. The role involves leading a team of five engineers, driving a product-first engineering culture, acting as a technical authority for various web applications, thriving in a rapid iteration environment, championing AI-assisted development, guiding engineering outcomes and quality, and mentoring the team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading technical teams in B2B SaaS or API-first products, a strong software engineering background with expertise in React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and backend experience in Ruby on Rails or Node.js, and a natural empathy for developer customers.
