Description
Waymo is hiring a Technical Lead for its Machine Learning Performance team to lead a small team of approximately five engineers focused on optimizing individual machine learning model performance. The role sets the technical vision and multi-quarter roadmap, coordinates cross-functional projects, analyzes and prototypes performance improvements across application, compiler, firmware, runtime, and framework layers, influences infrastructure teams, and mentors team members. Candidates need a computer science or electrical engineering degree or equivalent practical experience, at least five years of complex C++ and Python development, and seven or more years of experience optimizing compute performance for machine learning applications. The position follows a hybrid work schedule and offers a base salary of $3,800,000 to $4,370,000 TWD.
