Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Technical Lead - Software in Chennai to lead the design, architecture, development, and operation of scalable software for semiconductor manufacturing automation. The role requires 8+ years of production software engineering experience, strong distributed-systems and architecture knowledge, backend and web development experience, database and event-driven systems expertise, Kubernetes experience, and familiarity with AI or machine learning. The lead will partner with product teams and customers, improve system reliability and observability, mentor engineers, and influence technical and product decisions.
