Description
The Virginia Spaceport Authority internship supports the technical oversight of assigned launch-pad engineered systems, including cryogenic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical, control, hydraulic, structural, HVAC, and water systems. The intern works with customers, contractors, and technical staff; develops operations, testing, maintenance, engineering, certification, and performance documentation; monitors system parameters and reliability; supports configuration control and design reviews; performs supervised fieldwork; and coordinates with QA, Safety, and the Pad Manager. The role requires current enrollment in an associate or bachelor’s degree program, a strong general engineering background, and experience with pneumatic, cryogenic, hydraulic, and control systems is preferred. The intern must obtain and maintain NASA credential eligibility, pass a background check and drug test, and comply with safety, quality, documentation, and budget requirements.
