Wood Canada Ltd. is recruiting a Technical Safety Engineering Student for the Winter 2027 semester to work in its St. John’s office on large-scale brownfield energy, mining, and hydro projects. The role supports engineering assessment and design for fire protection, fire and gas detection, escape, evacuation, and rescue systems, as well as risk assessment and management. Responsibilities include project schedule and budget support, vendor and contractor liaison, engineering database and bill-of-materials work, HSEQ compliance, and preparation of design drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, and reports. The student must be enrolled in a university engineering co-op program and demonstrate strong communication, technical writing, safety, teamwork, problem-solving, and computer skills.
