Description
Ford is hiring a Technical Specialist, Mechatronics to serve as a subject-matter expert for closure-related electronic modules and subsystem interfaces, including door and window systems, liftgates, tailgates, frunks, hoods, latches, actuators, sensors, and related interfaces. The role owns design requirements, validation strategy, supplier technical alignment, issue resolution, lessons learned, and cross-functional knowledge transfer, and provides technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, software, and vehicle-level integration. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, at least 10 years of progressive engineering experience, and 3+ years of experience with requirements, validation, DFMEA, design rules, documentation, and supplier technical reviews. It is a Level 6 leadership role with a base salary of $115,500–$218,100, hybrid work requiring onsite presence four or more days per week, and no visa sponsorship.
