Description
Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring a Staff Engineer-Validation to lead validation strategies and test plans for high-speed networking and connectivity devices, including Ethernet switches, USB 3.2 hubs, PCI-Express devices, and automotive Ethernet PHYs. The role owns lab-based design bring-up, characterization, interoperability testing, test environments, cross-functional debugging, customer issue reproduction, and mentorship of junior engineers. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, experience leading teams of five or more direct reports, and 12+ years of combined experience in high-speed digital, analog/mixed-signal, systems, power IC, or related design and testing. The position may be performed in the United States, requires 0–25% travel, and offers an annual base salary of $91,000 to $232,000 plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.
