Description

Tekfortune is hiring a Technical Support Engineer L3 for onsite support of enterprise data engineering platforms in Chicago, Illinois. The role owns complex production incidents, troubleshoots AWS data services, PySpark, Databricks, Redshift, SQL, and related workloads, coordinates with offshore engineering and support teams, leads incident bridges, supports releases and change validation, documents operational knowledge, and mentors L1/L2 engineers. The position requires 6–8 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and substantial L3 production-support experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 6–8 years of experience in technical support, production support, data engineering, or a related discipline, including substantial L3 support responsibilities
Experience working onsite at a customer location and coordinating with offshore teams
Experience supporting business-critical data platforms in production environments
Preferred Qualifications: AWS or Databricks certification
Experience with Airflow, AWS Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, or similar orchestration services
Exposure to ServiceNow, Jira, or comparable IT service-management platforms
Experience defining SLAs, operational metrics, knowledge-management practices, and continuous-improvement initiatives
