Description
The Telecommunications Technician installs and maintains cable support systems, marks and pulls wires, establishes cable pathways, terminates and tests copper voice and data cables, installs termination blocks and patch panels, troubleshoots wiring problems, maintains job records, and trains and directs Technician Helpers. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of telecommunications experience, cable installation certifications, knowledge of copper and fiber cable systems, grounding and fire stopping, basic hand tools, and the ability to work in varied physical conditions.
